Bosch dishwashers are the most common premium dishwasher brand in Gig Harbor, Poulsbo, and the premium residential areas of Silverdale — and they're excellent machines. When they fail, the failure is usually specific and diagnosable. Here's what we see most often in Kitsap County.
Bosch Error Codes — What They Mean
E15: Water in base pan — flood protection activated. Stop running the machine immediately. The base pan has collected water from a leak somewhere in the system. Tilt the dishwasher forward to drain the base pan, then call for service to find the leak source.
E24: Drain fault. Check the filter (at the bottom of the tub) and the drain hose for kinks. If both are clear, the drain pump has failed.
E09: Heating element failure. The water isn't reaching the required temperature. Heating element or control board issue — requires professional diagnosis.
Bosch Filter Maintenance in Kitsap
Bosch's manual-clean filter system is the brand's maintenance requirement that most Kitsap homeowners overlook. Unlike older dishwashers with self-cleaning grinders, Bosch filters require removal and rinsing every 2-4 weeks. A clogged filter is the most common cause of poor cleaning performance and E24 error codes.
